The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management organized an awareness session on ‘Road Safety’ under the aegis of ‘Sadak Suraksha Mitra Program’ of State NSS Cell of Punjab, with the objective of sensitizing students towards responsible driving and adherence to traffic rules. The session was conducted under the guidance of eminent resource persons, Head Constable Jasvir Singh, In-charge Traffic Education Cell, Ludhiana, and Mr. Pankaj Kumar, Honda Safety Coordinator from Honda.

Head Constable Jasvir Singh highlighted the importance of following safety measures and necessary precautions while driving. He stressed on the role of disciplined driving in preventing road accidents and saving lives.

Mr. Pankaj Kumar focused on the correct understanding of traffic signals, the significance of various coloured lines marked on roads, and other crucial precautions that every driver should observe. His practical insights helped students understand the importance of road markings and their compliance. The session proved to be highly informative and engaging, encouraging students to adopt safe driving practices in their daily lives.

Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar, Principal of the college appreciated the efforts of the NSS team and the resource persons, stating that “Road safety is not just a rule, but a responsibility we all must embrace to ensure the safety of ourselves and others.”
