The Finance and Investment Club of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management (SACCM) successfully organized Investomania – Portfolio Designing Competition, a unique event that brought together the sharpest financial minds to showcase their skills in investment planning and portfolio management.
The competition was conducted in two rounds:
Round One (Preliminary): A written quiz was held in which a total of 50 teams participated. After the screening process, 10 teams were shortlisted for the final round.
Round Two (Case Study): The shortlisted teams were provided with two hypothetical client profiles. Participants had to design well-structured investment portfolios considering multiple parameters such as income, dependents, financial goals, risk appetite, and return expectations. The final round was judged by an eminent panel comprising: Mr. Anurag Arora, Ex-Chairman, Ludhiana Stock Exchange, CA Bhavesh Makkar, Director, Ludhiana Stock Exchange, Mr. Gaurav Rakheja, Vice-President, Bajaj Broking (North India)
After an intense and engaging round of presentations, the following teams emerged as winners:
1st Position – Team KPM: Kunal Tuli, Parth Dhain, and Mannan Singla
2nd Position – Team PPK: Pavneet Kaur, Pratham Jain, and Kritika
3rd Position – Team Dynamic Trio: Kuval Goyal, Nishita, and Diya Nathani
The event proved to be an inspiring and enriching experience for all participants, giving them a platform to apply classroom knowledge to real-world financial planning scenarios.
Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar congratulated the winners and applauded all the participants for their enthusiastic involvement. He further emphasized that such initiatives by the Finance and Investment Club of SACCM play a crucial role in nurturing analytical thinking, financial literacy, and decision-making skills among students.
