Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management organised an industrial visit to Vardhaman Yarns and Threads Limited for the students of B.Com Final Year. It was an excellent initiative to instil practical knowledge among the students. The visit took place on 3rd September under the teacher coordinators – Dr Robin Kaushal and Mr Ashish Bajaj. The visit was meticulously supervised by Mr Tarun Kumar Singla, Mr Mandeep Singh, Mr Ram Avtar Bansal and Mr Ratendra Prasad. Their guidance and experience was a valuable addition in this excursion. The visit commenced with a briefing of operations that were being carried out in the industry. Students were divided into three groups and each group was headed by team of experts. The students were taken through the different stages of manufacturing and dyeing of yarn and thread. The process includes dyeing methods, dyeing selection, post dyeing process, quality control and testing. providing comprehensive and experiential learning for students. The visit was ended a doubt clearing session headed by director Mr. Neeraj Abbott. He took the queries of students in a detailed manner and explained the issues on sustainability, water pollution, CSR Initiatives undertaken by VYTL. Overall, the session proved to be fruitful and beneficial for students. Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar appreciated the efforts and encouraged the students to take part in the visits, saying that industrial visits helps in bridging the gap between theory and practice.
