The induction meeting of the Book Club was held on 5th August 2025 at Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management, Ludhiana in the New Seminar Hall. On this occasion, Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar, appreciated the initiative and explained how the Book Club resonates with the college’s vision of promoting intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and holistic student development. He encouraged the students to engage actively in reading and discussions as a means of broadening perspectives beyond academics. The faculty coordinators, Ms. Esha Jain and Dr. Anchal Arora, apprised the students of the working of the club, highlighting that it would provide a platform for book reviews, monthly discussions, and presentation sessions across diverse genres ranging from literature to self-development and contemporary issues. They also explained the two-tier reward policy, where deserving students would be recognized with special titles and, through consistent participation, earn the prestigious College Colours, thereby adding value to their academic and extracurricular achievements. The session concluded with an interactive exchange of ideas where students shared their reading interests, marking a promising beginning for the club’s activities in the academic year.
