Career Guidance and Placement Cell of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management, Ludhiana, in association with Hitbullseye, organized an expert talk on the topic- Empowering your future: Building a fulfilling career after graduation on August 10, 2024. The resource person of the day was Mr. Anoop Ohri, alumnus of IIM Lucknow, Professor of marketing with 15+ years of experience and a successful corporate trainer. At the outset of his talk session, he went into detail about the various skills required to seek employment. His emphasis also included developing a well-groomed personality to succeed in one’s chosen vocation. Subsequently, Mr. Anoop addressed the students concerning how theoretical concepts of education work in tandem with their real-world applications in important spheres of career, especially in interviews. He also gave the students some illustrations on how to construct good resumes. He advocated participation in extracurricular pursuits, public speaking, and internships as crucial tools for setting oneself up for long-term career success. Using Dabur Honey and Nestle Maggie as examples, he discussed the significance of current affairs in the marketing environment. Mr. Anoop concluded the session by citing pertinence of confidence as not just a personal trait but a vital component of professional success which can influence performance, opportunities for advancement, and overall career satisfaction for a fulfilling career. Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar, the Principal of the college, expressed his gratitude to the resource person for embracing students with knowledge, learning and wisdom.
