The Young Entrepreneurship Network of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management organized an informative and intellectually enriching session titled ‘Start-up Ideation’ on 18 February 2026 for aspiring entrepreneurs. The session commenced with a formal welcome address by Principal Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar, who emphasized the growing importance of entrepreneurial ecosystems in fostering sustainable economic development.

The resource person for the session, Mr. Adiraj Ahluwalia, Ecosystem Development Manager, IM Punjab, delivered a comprehensive address on the strategic foundations of start-up ideation and ecosystem development. He elaborated on the essential components that contribute to building a robust entrepreneurial environment, including incubation support, mentorship networks, access to early-stage funding, policy facilitation, and industry-academia collaboration.

During his address, Mr. Ahluwalia placed significant emphasis on the foundational step of identifying the relevant problem before initiating any venture. He guided students to critically assess the magnitude of a problem, its market relevance, and the extent of value addition their solution could generate. He illustrated this perspective by referring to ventures such as REPEAT GOOD, Zomato, Uber, and Lenskart, highlighting how each of these enterprises successfully addressed large-scale, real-world problems through innovative and scalable solutions.

He further encouraged students to actively articulate and discuss their entrepreneurial ideas during the session. By engaging with participants directly, he provided constructive feedback and guided them through the preliminary stages of the start-up ideation process, outlining practical steps to move from conceptualization to structured validation.

The session proved to be highly interactive, insightful, and motivating, offering students practical clarity on transforming innovative ideas into viable entrepreneurial ventures. The event was coordinated by Dr. Leenu Anand. Ms. Esha Jain and Ms. Mehak Arora assisted in organizing and managing the session successfully.
