Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)

PROGRAMME OUTCOMES

PO1. The courses aim to provide comprehensive knowledge and coherent understanding of the accounting, taxation, auditing, risk management, financial accounting, managerial economics, business law, marketing, new venture planning and business communications.

PO2. The main objective of these courses is to provide deeper understanding of the disciplinary, interdisciplinary and value added courses with practical orientation to make the students ready to make a mark in the industry with strong human and moral values.

PO3. The courses will provide practical, professional, and procedural knowledge required for carrying out various professions including knowledge required for undertaking self-employment initiatives, and knowledge and mindset required for entrepreneurship involving enterprise creation, improved product development, or a new mode of organization.

PO4. To enhance skills in areas to explore many career paths like investment and portfolio management, stock market, security analysis, mutual fund and capital market analysis, accounting field, financial field etc.

PO5. To pursue research in the area of marketing, finance, human resources and banking.

PO6. To develop communication skills and build confidence to face the challenges of the corporate world

PO7. To prepare the abecedarian with the strong foundation for selecting their future career in the field of corporate sectors

Programme outcome:

 PO1: To stimulate and prepare the students for positions of leadership in business organizations at the local, national and international levels so that they become capable to undertake prolific protagonists in the dynamic and competitive business environment. 

PO2:  To identify ethical issues, make the learners understand the impact of a particular issue on various stakeholders, and aid them in becoming ethically responsible business managers that positively impact businesses and society today. 

PO3: To impart quality and need based education so that the learners are sensitized with regard to their changing roles in society through awareness raising activities.

Programme Specific Outcome:

PSO1: To prepare imminent founders to get their ventures off the ground by providing them access to expert mentors – who help in connecting their classroom education to the trading floors, board rooms, and retail stores where theory is put into practice.

PSO2: To groom the learner to become a truly global personality well equipped to deal with the modern world and its challenges. 

PSO3: To enable holistic and value-based development of learners’ personality with a humane and global outlook – which would ultimately enhance his/her employability.

Course Outcome:

 The course outcome which is expected to be achieved by the students after the completion of a particular course is very well elucidated in the form of course objectives in the College Instruction Manual.

FOOTNOTES

 

1. The following categories of the students shall be entitled to take the option of History and Culture of Punjab in lieu of Punjabi as a compulsory subject:-
   (a) Students who have not studied Punjabi upto class10th.*
   (b) Wards of Defence Personnel and Central Government employee/employees, who are transferable on all India basis.
   (c) Foreigners

 

2. ‘Environment, Road Safety Education, Violence against Women/ Children and Drug Abuse’  is a compulsory qualifying paper, which the students have to study in the B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./BBA 1st year (2nd Semester). If the student/s failed to qualify the paper during the 2nd Semester, he/she/ they be allowed to appear/qualify the same in the 4th or 6th Semester/s.
