Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management celebrated International Yoga Day. To mark the day, a special session of Yoga was organised by the college for the staff. The session was conducted under the expertise of Ms. Umang Singh, a certified Yoga trainer. The expert dwelt upon the importance of human body and how to maintain equilibrium of body, mind and soul. Thereafter, under the skilled guidance of her team, the staff practised a lot many Kriyas of Yoga. Yoga is a way from outer to inner human cosmos. It not only purifies the body but mind as well. Members of the staff practised yoga for an hour, and there was a sense of divine fulfilment on each one’s soul. The day was a tribute to Indian culture of serenity and purity of human body which is God’s unique marvel of engineering. Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar, was buoyant over the fact that session will bear a profound impact on our physical, mental and emotional well-being. He further emphasized on the theme of ‘One Earth One Health’ underscoring the importance of nourishment of soul through Yoga in nurturing sustainable ecological well-being.
