The finale of the British Parliamentary Debate (BPD) for the session 2024-2025 was held with great enthusiasm at Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management on 12th April 2025, featuring the motion: “This House Believes That a Nehruvian United States Can Catalyse India.” The event followed the prestigious British Parliamentary style, a globally recognized format known for its emphasis on structured reasoning, quick thinking, and teamwork. This dynamic setting encourages participants to think critically, respond spontaneously, and engage with complex issues from multiple perspectives. The debate provided students with a platform to showcase their analytical and oratory skills in a high-pressure environment that mirrors international standards of parliamentary debating. The team comprising Dhruvika, Aditi, Rachit Arora, and Piyush Mittal emerged as the winners of the BPD finale, impressing the judges with their clarity of thought, compelling arguments, and strategic delivery. Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar, Principal, appreciated the initiative stating, that such debates foster a spirit of inquiry and help students develop the intellectual agility required in global discourse. The successful conclusion of the BPD finale highlighted SACCM’s ongoing commitment to cultivating academic excellence and critical engagement through co-curricular platforms.
