Best Practice I

Title of the Practice – Public Speaking Skills Development Program

 Objectives of the Practice

To overawe stage fright amongst students by making laddered progression from paper reading to debating, BPD, ITE, and MUN

The Context

            Despite being academically meritorious, few students feel reticent in expressing themselves in public. For addressing these embryonic issues, SACCM has well-designed program, wherein students are subjected to assortment of sessions.

The Practice

For assisting students in shedding their diffident and reticent approach towards public speaking, SACCM has well-designed ‘Public Speaking Program’, under whose umbrella activities of ‘Paper Reading’, Elocution’ and ‘Debate’ in ‘Cultural Fest cum Talent Hunt Competition’, ‘British Parliamentary Debate’, ‘Model United Nations Conference’, and ‘Independent Thinking Exercise’ are carried out.

Evidence of Success

Public speaking skills have helped SACCMites lot in their personal as well as professional lives. SACCM students have exhibited their talent in various inter college competitions organized by institutions of repute, where they have proved their mettle by grabbing positions.

Problems Encountered

Though no problem has been countered in planning and execution of activities yet recognizing relevance of public speaking skills in contemporary world, SACCM aims to scale up above-mentioned activities.

Best Practice II

Title of the Practice – E-initiatives

Objectives of the Practice

To make SACCM campus Wi-Fi enabled for unabridged teaching, administrative and research operations creating sustainable long term relationships with stakeholders.

The Context

Academic and Administrative Blend:

ICT integration aims at providing an effective teaching learning environment. ICT integration with digitization of office operations encouraged green practices by creating systematized and efficient digitized record keeping.

The Practice

Academic Blend:

For ICT integration each classroom is equipped with Smartboards and internet connectivity across the campus. SACCM has subscribed for e-resources such as EBSCO with access to faculty members and students. LMS Qualcampus is used for sharing e-content and managing administrative functions.

 Evidence of Success

Academic Blend:

  • Effective curriculum delivery, holistic development of students using digital infrastructure and timely and effective communication with students.

Administrative Blend

  • Better cash management and maintenance of digital records of information pertaining to students, teaching and non-teaching staff.

Problems Encountered and Resources Required

 Though no problem has been countered in planning and execution of activities yet recognizing relevance of e-governance in contemporary world, SACCM aims to scale- up e- initiatives.
