PANJAB UNIVERSITY ZONAL YOUTH FESTIVAL:
The students of SACCM participated in the Zonal Youth Festival at KLSD College, Ludhiana held from 12th October to
14th October 2009. The Youth Festival was organized by the Department of Youth Welfare, Panjab University, Chandigarh. In the Ludhiana Zone Events,
- Pushvinder Devgan of B.Com III bagged First position in the Rangoli Competition
- Mehak Sharma of B.Com I stood First in the Short Story Writing Contest.
- Priyam Saxena of B.Com I bagged the Second position in Poem Writing
- Nitish Sharma of B.Com II stood Third in the Elocution competition
SPORTS
Puja Shah bagged gold medal in PU Inter college chess competition in 2009 and was selected for All India Inter University Chess Championship.
The College team also participated in Ludhiana District Chess Competition where Sameer Jhanji of B.Com II was ranked 10th in the district out of total 135 participants. He was also selected for Punjab State Chess Championship. He won four out of five matches in P.U. Inter College Chess Competition.
