Question Paper Setting and Evaluation
Question Paper Setting and Evaluation is a very important constituent of the teaching-learning process. If designed in a planned and thoughtful way, question paper can be used as an important tool to assess and evaluate students’ learning outcomes. Besides, preparing students for the exams, the main intention behind setting a paper is to test the students’ High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) and to discourage the menace of selective study. Question papers are set in a manner that they can help in evaluating not only the factual knowledge of the students, but also their intellectual skills, analytical abilities, application of knowledge and the problem solving skills. Such a framework clearly brings out the varied intellectual levels of the students leading to students’ categorization, followed by identification of their respective problem areas and eventually leading to the appropriate remedial measures.
All the above mentioned academic activities are interlinked with each other. Performance of all such activities in a well structured manner makes the teaching learning experience at SACCM more valuable and effective for both teachers as well as students
