Eligibility and Selection Criteria
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION
B.COM FIRST SEMESTER (210 seats)
A candidate can apply to the First Semester of Bachelor of Commerce Programme and his/ her application may be considered if he/ she has passed 10+2 examination in commerce/ other streams with First Division (60% marks) from a recognized Board/ Council/ University.
BBA FIRST SEMESTER (80 seats)
A candidate can apply to the First Semester of Bachelor of Business Administration Programme and his/ her application may be considered if he/ she has passed 10+2 examination from a recognized Board/ Council/ University with First Division.
BCA FIRST SEMESTER (80 seats)
A person who has passed +2 examinations in any discipline with at least 50% marks and passed Mathematics as one of the subjects at Matriculation examination level shall be eligible to join the first semester class of B.C.A. Course.
B.COM (HONOURS) PROGRAM (40 seats each)
A student can apply to the B. Com Hons. Programme (which starts in the Third Semester) and his/her application may be considered if he/she has passed the second semester of B. Com with a minimum of 65% aggregate marks in first and second semester without compartment in any paper.
B.COM/ BBA THIRD SEMESTER
A student who has passed B.Com Second Semester of the Panjab University in Bachelor of Commerce/ Bachelor of Business Administration can apply for admission to the Third Semester programme of the Bachelor of Commerce (General) / Bachelor of Business Administration.
For new admissions against vacant seats (if any), the Admission Committee comprising a member of the College Managing Committee, Director and Principal will finalize the candidates to be admitted.
B.COM/ BBA FIFTH SEMESTER
A student who has passed B.Com Fourth Semester of the Panjab University in Bachelor of Commerce/ Bachelor of Business Administration can apply for admission to the Fifth Semester programme of the Bachelor of Commerce (General) / Bachelor of Business Administration.
For new admissions against vacant seats (if any), the Admission Committee comprising a member of the College Managing Committee, Director and Principal will finalize the candidates to be admitted.
M.COM FIRST SEMESTER (40 Seats)
A candidate can apply to the First Semester of Bachelor of Commerce Programme and his/ her application may be considered if he/ she has passeda) A bachelor’s degree in commerce or business Administration with not less than 45% marks in the aggregate; OR
- b) B.Com. (Hons.) Degree with not lessthan 45% marks in the aggregate; OR
- c) A graduate with Honours inEconomics OR Mathematics ORStatistics OR Commerce with not lessthan 45% marks in the aggregate; OR
- d) A graduate with 50% marks in theaggregate having offered eitherEconomics, Mathematics, Statisticsor Commerce as a subject in theexamination.
M.COM THIRD SEMESTER
A student who has passed Second Semester of the Panjab University in Masters of Commerce can apply for admission to the Third Semester programme of the Masters of Commerce.
For new admissions against vacant seats (if any), the Admission Committee comprising a member of the College Managing Committee, Director and Principal will finalize the candidates to be admitted.
SELECTION CRITERIA
B.COM FIRST SEMESTER
The admission to B.Com First Semester will be on the basis of merit list prepared by the College. A candidate will be given weightages as per the number of Commerce subjects he / she has studied in 10+2 Examination as per guidelines of Panjab University. The Merit List will be displayed on the College Notice Board/College Website as per the admission policy and admission schedule. The successful candidates will also be intimated through a n SMS one day before the counselling for admission.
BBA FIRST SEMESTER
The admission to BBA First Semester will be on the basis of merit list prepared by the college. The Merit List will be displayed on the College Notice Board/College Website as per the admission policy and admission schedule. The successful candidates will also be intimated through an SMS one day before the counselling for admission.
BCA FIRST SEMESTER
The admission to BCA First Semester will be on the basis of merit list prepared by the College. A candidate will be given weightage as per Mathematics/Computer subjects he/she has studied in 10+2 Examination as per guidelines of Panjab University. The Merit List will be displayed on the College Notice Board/College Website as per the admission policy and admission schedule. The successful candidates will also be intimated through an SMS one day before the counseling for admission.
B.COM (HONOURS)
The admission to B.Com Hons. Courses will be on the basis of Merit List prepared by the College based on the aggregate marks obtained in First and Second Semester.
M.COM FIRST SEMESTER
The admission to M. Com First Semester will be on the basis of merit list prepared by the College. A candidate will be given weightages as per the guidelines of Panjab University. The Merit List will be displayed on the College Notice Board/College Website as per the admission policy and admission schedule. The successful candidates will also be intimated through an SMS one day before the counselling for admission.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
On the day of admission, candidates will be admitted on the basis of counselling for admission conducted by the Admission Committee. The admission to a course will be confirmed only after on the spot payment of fee through online route. The modes of payment will include Debit Card, Credit Card and Internet Banking. If a student does not appear on the date and time scheduled for the counselling for admission, he/she shall be placed in the waiting list and his/her admission shall be subject to availability of seats. All admissions shall be provisional and subject to approval of the Panjab University, Chandigarh.
ADMISSION TO STUDENTS BELONGING TO SOCIALLY UNDERPRIVILEGED COMMUNITIES (SC AND ST CATEGORIES)
In order to improve social and educational position of the students from socially underprivileged communities of SC/ST category and to enable them in attaining equitable place in society, SAACM has the provision to provide 22.5% of admissions to SC/ST category. Such students will be given a benefit of up to maximum 10% of marks which shall be added to their merit score of 10+2 examination while making the merit list for admission.
The applicant under this category shall submit along with application, a self-attested copy of Adhaar Card, Income Affidavit sworn by parent before First class Magistrate/SDO and Caste Certificate issued by the SDO/Tehsildar of his/her area of residence.

* Panjab University Charges and Examination Fee are subject to revision as and when decided by the university.
** For refund of library security, duly completed application form must be submitted to the accountant in the College on or before 31st December of the year of completion of degree.
Please Note:
Bus service charges will be charged extra. Annual charges (for 12 months) shall be levied for availong this facility, which shall be payable in two equal installments along with the fee (one installment at the time of admission and the second installment in January). In case a student discontinues with the bus facility, bus charges (already paid for semester) will not be refunded by the college.

The College follows the guidelines issued by the Panjab University for the admission of overseas students.
