A training session on “Understanding GST Compliance: Registration, Returns, and Refunds” was organized by SACCM for  students of B.Com on 6th November, 2025 to enhance their practical understanding of Goods and Services Tax (GST) procedures. The resource person for the session was CA Satish Kapoor from Ludhiana. The session aimed to equip participants with essential knowledge about GST laws, registration processes, filing returns, and claiming refunds—skills vital for both commerce students and aspiring entrepreneurs.

The resource person provided an in-depth explanation of the structure and functioning of the GST system in India, highlighting the importance of timely compliance and accurate documentation. Students gained hands-on insights into the online filing process of GST registration forms, return filing methods, and refund application procedures. The interactive session included real-time demonstrations and case-based discussions that helped participants connect theoretical knowledge with real-world applications. The students actively participated by asking queries related to business compliance, tax filing deadlines, and common errors to avoid. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar appreciated the initiative, emphasizing that such training programs bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practices, fostering greater employ-ability and entrepreneurship readiness among students.
