On 19th February 2025, an expert talk on “Unlocking Business Potential: Startup and MSME Support Schemes” was organized by SACCM TBI, featuring CA Rajan Gupta, Deputy General Manager, Small Industry Development Bank of India, Ludhiana, as the distinguished speaker. The session aimed to educate students about the opportunities and challenges in the start-up ecosystem and the support available for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar, the principal of the college, offered a floral welcome to CA Rajan Gupta and apprised the students about the relevance of the session aimed at fostering business growth. The speaker explained the fundamentals of launching a start-up, including idea validation, market research, and business model development. The session covered the legal requirements for registering a start-up or MSME. Subjects like intellectual property rights, tax benefits, and compliance were discussed in detail. It provided clarity on business strategies and government support, inspiring many to explore start-up opportunities. The interactive Q&A session allowed students to seek guidance on their business ideas, making the learning experience even more engaging. The session was organized by SACCM TBI team.
