The industrial visit to Verka Milk Plant was organized for students of B.Com 6th Semester and M.Com 4th Semester of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management to provide them with practical insights into the dairy industry. The visit took place on 8th February 2024 at the Verka Milk Plant located in Ludhiana along with the teacher coordinators Dr Robin Kaushal and Mr Vinay Dawar. The visit was meticulously supervised by Mr. Jaspal Singh, a seasoned professional from Verka, whose expertise and guidance added a valuable dimension to the students’ learning experience.
The visit commenced with an overview of Verka Milk Plant, highlighting its history, mission, and contribution to the dairy sector. Students were taken through the milk processing unit, witnessing the various stages from raw milk reception to pasteurization and packaging. This provided a comprehensive understanding of quality control measures and hygiene standards.
The industrial visit to Verka Milk Plant proved to be an enriching experience for students pursuing commerce and management. It bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, offering a holistic perspective on the intricacies of managing a successful dairy business. Principal Dr Vishal Kumar expressed commendation for the initiative, lauding the concerted effort of Industrial Visit Committee convener, Dr Jinesh Jain in orchestrating an insightful industrial visit.
