The Career Guidance and Placement Cell (CGPC) at SACCM organized an expert talk on the theme “Navigating Your Path to Success: Crafting a Career Trajectory in World Renowned Companies” for the students of B. Com 1st Semester. This session took place on September 16, 2023, with Mr. Ashmeet as the guest of honour and keynote speaker. Mr. Ashmeet, a former research analyst at the World Bank and a former employee of KPMG, currently holds an association with the esteemed London School of Economics. The principal of the institution, Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guest and expressed gratitude through a token of appreciation. Commencing the session, Mr. Ashmeet shared his personal academic and professional journey, emphasizing the challenges and hardships he faced, and inspired the students to view failures as opportunities for growth. Furthermore, he discussed the paramount role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the digital landscape, highlighting how AI is a transformative force in the emerging world. Mr. Ashmeet also underscored the significance of internships and volunteering during one’s academic journey. Leveraging his expertise as a finance enthusiast, he delved into the inner workings and administration of investment banks and the World Bank. Overall, the session proved to be very informative and inspiring for the students. The principal commended the students for their enthusiastic participation and expressed appreciation for the session. Furthermore, he lauded the diligent efforts of the CGPC coordinators in organizing these career-oriented sessions.
