Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management organized an industrial visit to Happy Forgings Limited on 6th September, 2024. 36 students of BBA 5th semester got the opportunity to gain insights about the working of an industrial organization. The visit was organized with the aim to provide the students with practical understandings into the designing and manufacturing heavy forgings and high precision machine components. The visit was carried out under the supervision of Dr. Aashish Garg and Ms. Parul Sood. The visit was meticulously supervised by Mr. Devansh Jain Manager (HR and Admin). Their guidance and experience were a valuable addition in this visit.
The students were provided detailed explanation of the manufacturing process step by step. The visit commenced with an introductory video of the entire forging process. Then the students were given all the safety measures including helmets, ear plugs, shoes as well as glasses. The students were divided into two groups and each group was headed by group of experts. The students were taken through different work centers to witness the stages of manufacturing and designing of auto components. It includes the heating process, hammering process, shaping process and testing process of the machine components. Overall, the visit to Happy Forgings provided students with practical insights into the advanced forging techniques and quality control measures essential for producing high-performance components. The experience deepened their understanding of the importance of precision, efficiency, and innovation in modern manufacturing. Principal, Dr Vishal Kumar, appreciated the efforts and motivated the staff to conduct theme based industrial visits in the future.
