The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Research & Faculty Development Committee (RFDC) of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management, Ludhiana organized a two-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Advancements in Research with Meta Analysis and Cellulographics” on 21st Dec- 22nd Dec 2023. ankar, Assistant Professor, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Delhi-NCR Campus, Ghaziabad and Dr. Prateek Kalia, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Management, Faculty of Economics and Administration, Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic. Dr. Pooja Mehta, Coordinator of IQAC & RFDC introduced the theme to the participants. She highlighted the relevance of the Faculty Development Program in augmenting the faculty’s knowledge base and fostering continuous academic growth among educators. The topic for the first day of FDP was ‘Unveiling Meta-Analysis: Navigating Effective Strategies’. Dr. Shardul Sankar delved into the complexities of meta-analysis, addressing aspects such as scrutinizing publication bias, heterogeneity, and moderation analysis. He underscored that meta-analysis serves as a potent tool, as it plays a pivotal role in generating more robust and dependable conclusions, especially when addressing intricate or contentious research questions, contributing significantly to evidence-based decision-making. The topic for the second day of the FDP was ‘Cellulographics: The Road Ahead’. Dr. Prateek Kalia presented insights into the innovative concept of Cellulographics, a set of classification metrics linked to the adoption of smartphones. He elucidated the complexities of Cellulographics, offering a comprehensive framework for profiling smartphone users. Through their transformative perspectives, the resource persons not only imparted knowledge about Meta-analysis and Cellulographics, but also instilled a sense of inspiration that can profoundly impact the future direction of the faculty’s academic pursuits. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar, in his address, emphatically underscored the pivotal role of research in the contemporary academic and professional landscape. He articulated that sessions of this nature not only foster personal growth but also contribute significantly to the development of individuals and groups within the academic community. Dr. Kumar pointed out that active participation in such endeavours could catalyze higher career progression, emphasizing the potential for faculty members to contribute valuable high-quality research papers to major national or international publications. The sessions concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Leenu Narang, member of RFDC.
