Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management observed Convocation for its students on January 11, 2025. Prof. Prem Kumar Khosla, Chancellor, Shoolini university, Solan, Himachal Pradesh, presided over the function. Mrs. Saroj Khosla also graced the occasion with her benign presence. Degrees were conferred upon 430 students from the batches 2020-2023 and 2021-2024. Eight College Colours, six Rolls of Honour and seven Award of Merit were awarded to the brilliant SACCMites. Dr. Manpreet Kaur, the stage secretary, gave a brief introduction about the college and highlighted the various victories of the college at various pedestals.
Padma Bhushan Sh. S.P. Oswal, Chairman, Vardhman Group of Companies and Governing Body, SACCM, graced the occasion with his kind presence, and welcomed the multifaceted chief guest, Prof. Khosla in his intellectual and impressive manner.
Sh. Oswal, in his welcome address, advised the students to live goal-oriented and value-loaded lives. He shed light on the multiperspectival life of the college. He further stressed upon the significance of sincerity and hard work in life. He said that SACCM, the college with a difference, was set up with the ideal of enriching the minds of young learners through the introduction of Sri Aurobindo’s philosophy of integral education, and in a span of 20 years, the college has created a history of sorts, bringing laurels, bagging awards and erecting milestones after milestones; believing in its own incomparable march, breaking its own records, and bettering its own chronicles.
Principal, Prof. Dr. Vishal Kumar read the college annual report which was studded with star students of SACCM. He advised the students to strive and seek in the journey of life.
In his exhilarating address to the students, the worthy chief guest, Chancellor, Prof. Khosla, exhorted the students to dream big so that they might achieve big and pave the elevated path for others to emulate. He discussed the importance of discipline in life and advised the students to put in the determined efforts to add new milestones to the story of life. He added that life is a wonderful discourse, and tireless ventures and adventures make it admirably involving. He further said to the students that no matter what their marks or medals are, they will always be stars and will contribute immensely to the society and nation. He also advised them that learning neither begins nor ends in classrooms; it is a commitment to a life-long odyssey. His convocation address was welcomed with resounding applause by one and all.
Dr. Manpreet Kaur presented vote of thanks in her rhetorical style. Mr. Kanwaljeet Singh, Dr. Manpreet Kaur, Ms. Meenu Gupta and Ms. Mehak Arora were the comperes for the day.
Principal Dr. Vishal Kumar’s untiring efforts took the whole ceremony to the grand level. Secretary, college Governing Body, Sh. R. K. Rewari’s indefatigable persona and holistic orientation towards service to the college is at the back of the resplendent success of the convocation.
On the day of Convocation, College air was agog, and its environment was gaga. The young pass out scholars hardly knew any bounds of hilarity while the degrees were being conferred upon them. The sky for them was great and they were beating the air in their sing-song style. The convocation came to close with the rendition of national anthem.
