Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management organised its two day (11, 12 August) cultural festival with much fanfare. Principal, Prof. Dr. Vishal Kumar along with team of the Cultural Fest declared the festival open by lighting the candelabra and by paying obeisance to the goddess Saraswati. Dr. Vishal Kumar, in his address to the gathering said that the Cultural Fest would make way for the philosophy of integral education of Maharishi Arvind in whose name the college is enshrined. His words of motivation to the participants upped their zeal for the fest. This grand cultural festival was made grander with the esteemed presence of Sh. R. K. Rewari, the honourable Secretary, Governing Body, SACCM.
All the students were in a mode and mood of merriment. Students were enthusiastic for they thoroughly enjoyed the cultural carnival. The myriad number of events that took place in the fest was: Geet/Gazal, Folk Song, Shabad/Bhajan, Classical Music Vocal, Group Singing Indian, Group Dance General Indian, Classical Dance, Skit, Mimicry and Histrionics, Bhangra, Poem Recitation, Debate, Elocution, Collage Making, Cartooning, Poster Making, Clay Modelling, Still Life Drawing, On the Spot Painting, Embroidery, Pakhi Designing, Crochet, Rangoli, Installation, Mehandi Design, Spot Photography, Quiz, Poem Writing, Short Story Writing, Essay writing, Handwriting Competition. The students were jovial and zealous for they thoroughly enjoyed the fest. They presented a melange of their endowments, and there was joy galore. The fest was declared closed by the worthy Principal. At the end, whole of the audience recited the National Anthem.
