n 7/11/2023, a total of 65 students (B.com Final year and M.com First Year) of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management were given the opportunity to visit the Weikfield factory (Nalagarh Plant). The visit was organized with the aim of providing students with practical insights into the industrial production and packaging processes.The industrial visit commenced at 7:00 a.m. with the students, accompanied by three faculty members and a knowledgeable tour guide, from the college campus itself from where the students headed to Weikfield factory premises. The tour included a comprehensive overview of the production and packaging procedures employed at the factory.
The students were provided with a detailed explanation of the step-by-step production process, including the various stages involved in the manufacturing of various products like baking powder and cocoa powder. They witnessed the cutting-edge machinery and technology used in the production line, gaining firsthand knowledge of the intricacies of the manufacturing process. Additionally, the tour highlighted the company’s commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety throughout the production process. Following the production demonstration, the students were guided through the packaging department, where they observed the meticulous packaging procedures and the implementation of quality control measures to ensure that the products were well-packaged and ready for distribution.
After the insightful visit to the Weikfield factory, the students and faculty members enjoyed an excursion to Chowki Dhani, Panchkula, a renowned cultural village. This recreational outing provided the students with an opportunity to relax and engage in various cultural activities, allowing them to immerse themselves in the rich heritage and traditions of the region. The experience at Chowki Dhani not only offered a refreshing break but also fostered a sense of companionship among the students and teachers.
The industrial visit to the Weikfield factory proved to be an enriching and educational experience for students, providing them with practical exposure to the workings of a real-world manufacturing environment. The insightful tour of the factory, coupled with the enjoyable excursion to Chowki Dhani, contributed to the overall educational and recreational development of the students, broadening their perspectives and enhancing their understanding of industrial processes and cultural diversity.
