NCC Unit of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management in collaboration with Rangmanch society organized a Nukkad Natak on 12-09-2023 to observe“World Suicide Prevention Day”. Nukkad Natak was specially scripted to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and suicide prevention. The Nukkad Natak highlighted the contemporary issues affecting the mental well-being of our Gen Z population. The unconventional career choices they make, the misuse of artificial intelligence for revenge and cyberbullying, and societal attitudes towards homosexuality all contribute to the mental pressures they face. The unjustified societal norms can lead to profound psychological distress. The team through the Nukkad Natak urged society to be more flexible and accepting, and emphasized the importance of timely psychological therapies and medical intervention to combat the rising rates of suicide among Gen Z. Together, we can create a more inclusive and supportive environment that nurtures the mental health and well-being of our youth.Col Praveen Dhiman, Commanding Officer, 19 Pb Bn congratulated the students for putting up a wonderful show. He also interacted with the freshman students and motivated them to join NCC to incorporate sense of discipline in their lives. Principal Prof (Dr.) Vishal Kumar commended the students for their outstanding performance. NCC CTO Ms. Esha Jain and coordinators of Rangmanch Society Ms. Veenu Verma and Ms. Amarjit Kaur coordinated the event.
